Fulton County Sheriff's Office

Two working dogs, K-9 Rapid and K-9 Agi, and a therapy dog named Kevin make up the K-9 team at the Fulton County Sheriff's Office in north-central Indiana, which patrols a county of about 370 square miles (2025 Census Gazetteer) 24 hours a day. Patrol deputies are usually the first members of the office residents meet, and their work runs from initial and follow-up criminal investigations and crash investigations to serving warrants and testifying in court. Deputies who show a strong aptitude for detective work move into the Investigative Division after time on patrol or in a specialty unit. There, investigators specialize in crimes against people, property and financial crimes and narcotics, working closely with prosecutors, and they train in crime scene investigation, cell phone forensics, advanced interviewing and homicide investigation. The office also provides professional care and custody for people held in the county jail and keeps the county's court facilities secure. Residents can report drug activity directly to the office or to the Indiana State Police drug tip line, pass anonymous tips through Michiana Crime Stoppers, and use the office's mobile app to look up inmate listings, commissary and medical information and other resources.
