Arkansas State Parks Police / Park Rangers are certified law enforcement officers within Arkansas State Parks (Department of Parks, Heritage and Tourism) responsible for public safety, enforcement of state laws and park regulations, and protection of natural, cultural, and historical resources across the state park system. Rangers engage visitors, respond to emergencies, and support conservation and recreation goals through enforcement and educational outreach. Commissioned park rangers hold Arkansas law-enforcement authority concurrent with other agencies inside park jurisdictions and train for search and rescue and first response. This statewide parks LE listing is distinct from municipal police and Arkansas State Police for partners coordinating park-based training or mutual aid.
