Carrboro Police Department

Carrboro Police Department is the town police agency for the Town of Carrboro, North Carolina. It is organized into four divisions. The Patrol Division answers calls ranging from non-criminal incidents and traffic crashes to property, juvenile and violent crimes, and conducts preventive patrol. The Criminal Investigations Division picks up cases that need follow-up after an officer's initial report. A Community Services Division organizes community events, speaks at neighborhood meetings and runs pedestrian safety operations. The Administrative Division sets policy and goals, manages the other divisions, and handles media requests, public records requests and questions about ongoing investigations. The department also works with partners on diversion options that redirect some people away from the criminal justice system when that is a better fit.
