Greenville Technical College Public Safety

Greenville Technical College Police Department is the primary law-enforcement agency for every Greenville Technical College campus and location, eight sites spread across Greenville County, South Carolina. Its sworn, state-certified officers enforce federal, state, county and municipal law, and they work with the Greenville Police Department, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office and other agencies on campus safety. Non-sworn Department of Public Safety officers in the college's Office of Environmental Safety assist with parking enforcement and securing buildings. Officers may send students to the dean of students for discipline over minor offenses rather than making an arrest. The department issues vehicle decals on the Barton Campus, offers crime prevention and education programs, and provides safety escorts on request for students, faculty and staff.
