Kirby Police Department

The Kirby Police Department was formed in 1968. The new Department started with a Police Chief and three patrolmen. Fifty years later, the Department has grown to more than 20 employees and is comprised of the following sections: Administration The Chief of Police and the Administrative Secretary handle most of the office functions within the department. Investigations Police detectives spend much of their time compiling information and evidence for the cases they are assigned. A police detective requires more experience and knowledge, so they usually hold a higher skill level than a normal police officer. Patrol Section The patrol section is made up of nine officers and is supervised by two Patrol Sergeants. The seven additional patrol officers who, along with the Sergeants, handle the day-to-day police activities like, traffic enforcement, neighborhood patrols. He/she is also responsible for Traffic Enforcement, DWI Enforcement, and Accident Investigation. Non-emergency: (210) 661-3198. Dial 911 for emergencies.
