Onondaga County Parks

The Onondaga County Park Rangers Department is the law enforcement agency for the Onondaga County parks system in central New York. Created in 1935, it is a full-service police agency whose rangers are peace officers under New York Criminal Procedure Law section 2.10(11), with authority that reaches across all of Onondaga County rather than stopping at park boundaries. Rangers patrol the county park system, enforce criminal, traffic and environmental laws along with park rules, and answer calls anywhere in the county when other agencies need help. Calls for rangers are dispatched through the Onondaga County 911 Emergency Communications Center. The department also inspects child car seats by appointment and at public check events through the year. Frank Jordan is Chief. The rangers' mailing address is 106 Lake Drive, Liverpool, NY 13088. For questions call (315) 453-6710, and tips can be emailed to [email protected]. Dial 911 for any emergency in a county park.
