The Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) Train-the-Trainer course prepares participants to educate schools, businesses, and community organizations on strategies for surviving an active shooter or active attack event. Based on ALERRT’s Avoid, Deny, Defend strategy, training addresses active-shooter awareness, civilian response options, medical considerations, and effective approaches to conducting preparedness presentations and drills. Participants receive instructional resources for delivering CRASE training within their communities.
