The goal of this module is to improve participants’ familiarity with FEMA’s guidance on community and residential safe room through FEMA P-361: Safe Rooms for Tornadoes and Hurricanes, as well as the standards developed by ICC 500 for the design and construction of storm shelters. The learner must achieve a minimum passing score of 75% on final knowledge assessments or demonstrate mastery on performance assessments or research assignments to earn the IACET CEU.
