Detail

The 4-hour AXON TASER Recertification training is designed to ensure that officers have the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and effectively use the TASER device. This training will cover topics such as legal considerations, deployment techniques, recognizing medical issues, and proper use of force in a variety of scenarios.

The first two hours of the course will be devoted to instruction from an experienced law enforcement instructor. This instructor will discuss the legal framework and ethical considerations surrounding the use of force, as well as teach proper deployment techniques.

The next hour of the course will focus on practical application of these concepts in a simulated environment. Participants will practice utilizing single-shot and multi-shot tasers in various scenarios which they may encounter on duty. This includes practicing proper trigger control, following through after each shot, and accurately assessing threats before deciding when to fire.

The final hour of the course will include a review session covering all topics discussed during the day’s training activities, as well as a final test assessing participants understanding of those topics. Upon successful completion of this test, participants may then receive their certification or recertification for AXON TASER Recertification Training.

By attending this 4-hour AXON TASER Recertification Training, participants can gain a deeper understanding of not only how to properly deploy their taser devices but also what legal implications are associated with its use so that they can make informed decisions in potentially dangerous situations. Furthermore, by practicing their trigger control skills in a controlled environment, officers can become better equipped to make sound judgment calls in real life scenarios involving suspects who are actively resisting arrest or otherwise presenting a risk to either themselves or others.
