Trauma is a significant public health issue that can result from violence, abuse, neglect, loss, disasters, and armed conflict. Research shows that approximately 70% of adults and 71% of children have experienced trauma or exposure to violence. The impact of childhood trauma on individuals and communities can be profound, but studies also demonstrate that trauma-informed care (TIC) can help reduce these negative effects. Building trauma-informed communities requires more than individual interventions. Effective community-level responses include educating local stakeholders, equipping service
