Our commitment to enhancing your experience with the American Police Training (APT) platform is unwavering. Based on valuable feedback from our valued partners, we've identified a need for specific feature upgrades. In this blog post, we'll highlight the forthcoming features that will reshape how you use the APT platform.
Firstly, we're introducing a feature that allows system admins to add externally registered events to our platform. This means you'll now see events organized by entities like ALERRT.org and TXSFST.org, which handle their registrations independently. Instead of our usual registration button, you'll find a direct link to the event page where you can register.
This new feature broadens the range of training opportunities available to our users, and strengthens our partnerships with external training organizations.
Another upgrade is the ability for training coordinators and training managers to easily cancel events, which in turn triggers an automated workflow notifying all users. This new process will provide a clear reason for event cancellation and allows easier management of the event listing on the platform. This feature will save time and effort for both event organizers and attendees.
We are also exploring future enhancements that include expanding into multimedia text messaging.
Training coordinators and managers will soon have the ability to create new user accounts. This streamlined process will ensure the training platform remains accessible and easy to use for all personnel. Coordinators and training managers will have more control over user account management, allowing for quicker and efficient onboarding of new users.
We're also improving visibility for coordinators and training managers, allowing them to view all registrants within their organization. This increased visibility will simplify personnel management and ensure that everyone is on track.
We recognized that sometimes coordinators, training managers, and instructors need to register their personnel for training directly. To support this need, our platform will soon allow these individuals to register users associated with their agency for any training. This will streamline the training process and allow for easier management of attendees.
Recognizing that not all registrants may have a user account, we're introducing a feature to register guests. This will be helpful for those individuals who are not police officers or need to register for a training without a dedicated user account. This feature will ensure no one is left behind and all personnel can access the necessary training.
Lastly, to enhance communication, we'll be enabling coordinators, training managers, instructors, and co-instructors to send messages to an entire class. We're exploring options to ensure this process is as efficient and straightforward as possible.
We understand the significance of effective communication in the training experience. Therefore, we're actively investigating multiple options to ensure the messaging process is optimized. One possibility includes integrating a bulk email feature, which allows instructors to send a single email to all participants simultaneously. This feature would streamline class communications and save time.
Another option under consideration is an in-app notification system. This system would send alerts directly to the participants’ dashboard, ensuring they receive all important updates promptly. We are also considering an SMS notification feature to provide instant class updates to participants even if they are off the platform.
