A look at the World Trade Center's Twin Towers the night before the attack on our American homeland.

On a day like any other, the 10th of September, 2001, 246 people kissed their loved ones goodnight, blissfully unaware of the tragedy that awaited. They were simple travelers, planning to catch their morning flights. Similarly, 2,997 individuals prepared for another day at work, dreaming of projects, meetings, and everyday worries. They were the everyday heroes, taking care of their families and striving to live a better life.

The Bravest of the Brave

Among them were 343 firefighters and 60 police officers, the city's first line of defense. They laid to rest, mentally preparing for their morning shifts, unaware that it would be their last. And let's not forget the 8 paramedics, our unsung heroes, whose lives, too, were brutally interrupted.

A Morning Unlike Any Other

None of these people what was to come in the morning on that fateful day. Their lives, their dreams, their hopes were snuffed out in an instant, leaving a gaping void in the hearts of those they left behind. A single moment, a single act of unimaginable terror, forever changed the course of their lives and the history of a nation.

As the news broke, the world came to a standstill. Shock, despair, anger—all emotions seemed trivial in the face of such immense tragedy. Yet out of the ashes emerged something extraordinary; a spirit of hope, resilience, and solidarity that only a nation nation under God could muster.

Living in Gratitude

As we reflect on these events, it's essential to remember the fragility of life. As we live and enjoy each breath we take, each moment we share with our loved ones, let's not take anything for granted. Let's appreciate the gift of life, the opportunity to love, and the chance to make a difference in the world.

Let us never forget those we lost that day, and the countless other lives affected by senseless acts of violence. Let us remember them not in sadness, but with love and gratitude for everything they gave to make this world a better place.

#AlwaysRemember, #NeverForget, we salute the heroes of #NYPD, #FDNY, and all those who serve in the #ArmedForces. We remember those who lost their lives on 9/11 and honor their memory by making the most of our lives and cherishing our loved ones.
