Prepare for the Unpredictable: Essential Training for Active Shooter Response

The ALERRT Level 1 Active Shooter Response Training course is designed to provide law enforcement officers and first responders with the knowledge and skills necessary to confront and neutralize active shooter threats effectively. This nationally recognized training program emphasizes tactics proven to save lives in these critical situations.

 

Course Curriculum:

- Understanding Active Shooter Dynamics: Gain insights into the mindset of active shooters and the evolving nature of these threats.

- Solo Response Strategies: Learn how to act decisively as the initial responder, including rapid threat assessment and engagement tactics.

- Team Movement and Room Entry: Develop proficiency in coordinated team movement, room clearing techniques, and strategies to address threats within complex structures

- Force-on-Force Scenarios: Participate in realistic simulations that challenge your decision-making, communication, and tactical skills under the pressure of an active shooter scenario.

- Post-Engagement Priorities: Understand the immediate actions to take after a threat is neutralized, including casualty care, IED awareness, and scene management.

Required Equipment: Good attitude, open mind, pen and paper, duty gear, clothing conducive for crawling around on the ground (Class D), water and or hydration system, body armor, long gun, and inclement weather gear (majority of course is outside regardless of weather conditions)
