The ALERRT Level 1 course is an intensive, hands-on training program designed to equip first responders with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively isolate, distract, and neutralize an active shooter situation.
The ALERRT Level 1 training provides a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics of an active shooter event. It is meticulously structured to incorporate both theoretical learning and practical exercises that simulate real-world scenarios. The participants are trained to respond to high-stress situations, make quick decisions, and act swiftly to neutralize threats.
The curriculum covers critical areas such as shooting and moving, threshold evaluation, team movement principles, room entry techniques, and approach handling. Through the ALERRT Level 1 training, first responders are not only equipped with critical tactical skills but also gain a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in active shooter situations.

Required Equipment: Good attitude, open mind, pen and paper, duty gear, clothing conducive for crawling around on the ground (Class D), water and or hydration system, body armor, and long gun.
