The 4-hour AXON TASER Recertification Training will use actors in full-body taser suites to help officers understand how to properly handle their duties. Participants will be given a comprehensive overview of the different types of tasers available, and an introduction to the AXON Taser family of products. They will then gain hands-on experience with the different models, learning proper use as well as safety procedures. In addition, they will receive instruction on the latest technology associated with tasers and how it relates to their operations.

Each participant will also have an opportunity to practice deploying their own Taser while in the full-body taser suite. This will give them real-world experience in using a Taser in a safe, controlled environment without any risk to themselves or others. Afterward, they will be able to discuss best practices for disarming suspects and utilizing alternative methods if necessary.

Throughout the course, participants will also receive additional information about legal issues related to firearms and liabilities associated with its usage. They will learn ways to document cases correctly and efficiently so that there is clear accountability of all actions taken while on duty. Lastly, they can look forward to a comprehensive review of what has been covered throughout the session that includes a Q&A session with both instructors and peers for further understanding and discussion before being issued their recertification certificates at the end of the training day.
