As we navigate life and work within this dynamic society, it becomes imperative for us to gain a deeper understanding of the challenges presented by these cultural shifts.

The course aims to broaden your understanding of diversity, moving beyond the conventional parameters of race and gender, to explore a multitude of diverse backgrounds and perspectives inherent within each culture. These dimensions of diversity are multifaceted, stemming from an individual's experiences influenced by various factors such as generational influences, social interactions, familial backgrounds, friendships, and workplace environments.

For some, the term 'diversity' may be simply a buzzword synonymous with political correctness, while others may perceive it as an emphasis on individual groups or persons over the collective whole. This course seeks to clarify that each part or individual, while important in its own right, operates in relation to a larger mission or the collective whole. If this relationship is not maintained, the system can fragment and cease to function effectively. Therefore, each individual is crucial, but must function as part of a larger, integrated whole to achieve a creative, respectful, and functional society.
