Event Schedule: DAY 1
  • Intro (8a-9a): Lt Medrano will provide an introductory overview, outlining the training objectives.
  • Interdiction 101 (9a – 12 noon): Tr. Moroles will explore the foundational elements of interdiction, covering essential tactics and insights.
  • Lunch (12 noon – 1p)
  • Interdiction (1p -2p): Advanced interdiction strategies will be discussed further by Tr. Moroles.
  • Roadside Interview (2p – 5p): Techniques for conducting effective roadside interviews will be presented by Sgt. Dawson, highlighting their importance in threat assessment.
DAY 2
  • Roadside Interview (8a – 9p): Continued instruction on refining interview techniques by Sgt. Dawson.
  • CMV Interdiction (9a -12 noon): Tr. Henderson will focus on specific tactics for commercial motor vehicle interdiction.
  • Lunch (12 noon – 1p)
  • Legal Aspects (1p – 4p): Tr. Bond will address vital legal considerations, underscoring the importance of constitutional rights during interdiction operations.
  • Q & A (4p – 5p): Participants will have the opportunity to seek clarifications and reinforce their learning with the SCIT Team.
DAY 3
  • Case Studies (8a – 12 noon): The SCIT Team will analyze real-world scenarios, extracting actionable insights and best practices.
  • Lunch (12 noon – 1p)
  • Hidden Compartments (1p – 4p): Techniques for uncovering hidden compartments used for illicit purposes will be introduced by Sgt. Arriaga.
  • Evals and final thoughts (4p – 5p): The training will conclude with evaluations and closing remarks by Lt. Medrano, emphasizing key takeaways.
