This training provides a comprehensive overview of the Def and Hard of Hearing Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) 7887 requirements. It covers legal terminology, communication strategies, and best practices for interacting with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Participants will gain an understanding of TCOLE 7887, including appropriate language usage, effective interpreter utilization, and assistive technology. By attending this training, participants will be better equipped to handle situations involving individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing in a professional manner. Additionally, this training applies towards the TCOLE intermediate proficiency certification.
