This comprehensive training event is designed for law enforcement professionals in Group 2. The course encompasses critical areas essential for effective policing, including recertification for the AXON TASER X2, a NHTSA SFST refresher, and ALERRT ERASE training. Participants will gain updated skills and knowledge vital for performing their duties efficiently and safely.

Training Components

  • AXON TASER X2 Recertification

    • This segment focuses on updating participants with the latest techniques and protocols for the effective and safe use of TASER devices.
    • It includes detailed training on handling procedures, situational awareness, and best practices for deploying TASERs in various scenarios.
  • NHTSA Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) Refresher

    • This component aims to reinforce participants' knowledge of conducting standardized field sobriety tests.
    • It covers identifying signs of impairment in drivers, administering standardized tests accurately, and ensuring compliance with current laws and regulations.
  • ALERRT ERASE Training

    • Designed for law enforcement officers facing high-risk situations, particularly active shooter events.
    • Participants will engage in realistic scenarios simulating real-world challenges, learning tactical strategies to respond swiftly and decisively, minimizing harm and neutralizing threats effectively.

Schedule

  • Day 1 (June 25)

    • 8:00 am - 12:00 pm: NHTSA SFST Refresher Training for Group 2
    • 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm: AXON TASER X2 Recertification for Group 2
  • Days 2-4 (June 26-28)

    • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm: ALERRT ERASE Training for both Group 1 and Group 2

Prerequisites: None

Required Equipment: Good attitude, open mind, pen and paper, duty gear, clothing conducive for crawling around on the ground (Class D), water and or hydration system, body armor, long gun, and inclement weather gear (majority of course is outside regardless of weather conditions)
