The TCOLE 3188 Legislative Update is a comprehensive training course designed to keep Texas law enforcement officers informed about the most recent legislative developments and changes in the state. The course consists of4 hours of training, which will cover topics such as criminal procedure reform, new laws affecting law enforcement, officer wellness and safety initiatives, and emerging technology issues. Participants will learn from experienced instructors through interactive lectures and case studies. They will also receive handouts and digital resources to aid in their understanding of the material. During the course, participants will gain an understanding of relevant laws and regulations concerning police operations in Texas. Additionally, they will be able to recognize current trends that are impacting law enforcement in the state. Upon successful completion of this training program, participants will be better equipped to identify legal obligations associated with their role as a law enforcement officer within the state of Texas.
